Doctrinal Stand of Christian Heritage Advisors (CHA)

I. Doctrine of the Scriptures

CHA believes in the verbal (every word) and plenary (complete) inspiration of the Scriptures (66 books contained in the Old and New Testament) that are equally inspired, without error or contradiction. Anyone who adds to or takes away from this completed revelation is cursed of God. (II Sam.23:2; Ps.19:7-11; 119:89; Matt.5:18; John 10:35; 17;17; II Tim.3:16,17; II Peter 1:20-21; Prov. 30:6; De. 4:2; 12:32; Rev. 22:19)

II. Doctrine of God

CHA believes in the one true and living God; eternally existing as one in His essence yet three in His personage. (Deut.6:4; Pasalm 90:2; Matt.28:19; I Corin.8:6)

III. Doctrine of Sin and Salvation

CHA believes sin is the transgression of the Law of God, that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God; that sin separates sinful man from a Holy God; that there is no remission for sin apart from the shed blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God; that man must genuinely repent and turn from his sin. (Luke 24:46,47; Rom.3:10-26; 6:23; 7:23-24; I John 3:4)

CHA believes salvation of sinners is only of grace, a free gift of God in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ; that salvation is received individually by repentance from sin and putting faith in and trusting Jesus Christ alone for this eternal salvation; that by confession with the mouth and belief in the heart, this salvation is an event, not a process, that is personally received into one's heart and life. (John 1:12; Rom. 6:23; Eph. 2:8,9; Heb.9:24-25; 10:19; 12:24; I Peter 1:18,19; Rev.1:5)

IV. Doctrine of the Church

CHA believes the church as an organism is both the body and bride of Christ composed of born-again Scripturally baptized believers that Christ gave Himself for, that Christ is its only true head; that establishment and government of local churches is clearly taught in the New Testament, that the local church has absolute right of self-government free from interference of any hierachy. (Matt.28:18-20; Acts 14:27; I Cor.3:9-17; 16:19; II Cor.1:1; Gal.1:2; I Tim.3:1-13; Titus 1:5-11; Rev.2:3)

V. Doctrine of Evangelism

CHA believes that all unsaved people are lost and bound for eternal punishment in a literal lake of fire; that God has commanded all New Testament Christians to proclaim the gospel. CHA believes in preaching the Word of God in local, indigenous, self-supporting churches and in witnessing by word and life to reach sinners and thereby having compassion on some and making a difference. (Rom.1:18-20; Rom. 10:14,17; Acts 1:8; Matt.28:19,20; Acts 13:1-3)

VI. Doctrine of Stewardship

CHA believes stewardship is the active recognition of the Lordship of Christ over the believer, and is our joyous duty and honor to give back to the Lord our time, talents and treasure. Giving of tithes and offerings is the Scriptural directive to balance our treasure on earth. CHA believes this giving back should also be given attention in our personal Last Will and Testament (or Trusts) as well. (Mal.3:10; Gen. 28:22; I Cor. 4:2; 16:1-3; II Cor. 8:2-9)

VII. Doctrine of Separation

CHA believes we are commanded in Scripture to separate ourselves unto Christ and away from any participation in or endorsement of sin; from ecclesiastical organizations and religious personalities that deny the faith or compromise the message; to abstain from every questionable activity; keeping himself from even the appearance of evil according to the teaching of the Word of God. (Rom. 12:1,2; II Cor. 6:14-18; Eph. 2:8,10; II Thes. 3:11,12; II Tim. 3:1-5; I John 2:15,16 II John9-11)
